Why Take a Summer Tour in Iceland, Canada, Norway & Finland?
Taking your summer tour up north means encountering abundant wildlife, enjoying mild temperatures, and experiencing unique cultural and natural attractions.
Nordic countries are fantastic places to meet all kinds of wild animals in their natural habitat. Spot bears in Canada, watch whales and puffins in Iceland, and go on a moose safari in Norway or Finland. Get that good dose of dopamine from observing majestic, quirky, and adorable creatures of the north.
A rewarding tidbit about summer in the Nordics? It’s not hot. The weather is fresh, comfortable, and ideal for exploring without melting. Temperatures typically range from 7°C (45°F) to 23°C (73.4°F), warm enough for snorkeling and swimming in geothermal pools, but pleasantly cool for longer hikes and multi-day treks.
It's hard to believe how many versatile activities you can pack in one trip to Norway, Iceland, Canada, or Finland. Volcanoes, lava caves, glaciers, whales, puffins, waterfalls—so many options. You can hike in the colorful rhyolite mountains and soak in thermal springs afterwards. Ride horses through the lava fields and sweat out all your tensions in a Finnish sauna. It almost feels like the sun would need to stay up for 24 hours to squeeze it all into one day. Oh wait… it does.

What to Pack for a Summer Tour
One thing to remember about summer near the Arctic Circle—it’s a bit of a drama queen. One minute it’s all sunshine and rainbows, the next you’re hiding from the wall of rain, but this just adds to the charm. Luckily, the solution is simple—pack smart. By smart, we mean easy-to-layer, quick-drying clothing you can throw on or remove as needed. Bring a thermal base (synthetic or wool), cozy fleece, and a waterproof jacket and pants. And yes, take a pair of shorts and a swimsuit for those warm, sunny days.
Iceland, Canada, Norway, and Finland all prefer comfort over fashion. Hiking boots are your number one friend. Leave your jeans at home and pack your favorite pair of leggings or hiking pants. It’s a good idea to bring both a warm hat and a sun hat. Having two doesn’t take up much space, but it adds to your comfort in different temperatures. Don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses, too.
Overall, pack lightweight but warm layers. And if you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes. That’s what people up north like to say.
