Route Overview

The sightseeing tour of scenic Halifax commences with a pick-up directly from your hotel in downtown Halifax. As we take you to the renowned Peggy’s Cove, our guide will share interesting facts and tips about the area. We will also visit the scenic fishing village of the famous Peggy’s Cove.

The village is located just an hour from Halifax. Once we reach Peggy’s Cove, you will be given ample opportunities to take amazing photographs of the beautiful area. You will also witness the iconic Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse – one of the most photographed lighthouses in Canada. It also goes by the name Peggy’s Point Lighthouse.

Once you are here, you will have plenty of time to explore the area on your own. The beautiful fishing village of Peggy’s Cove features plenty of small shops for you to check out. You can also take a seat on one of the many benches and enjoy the breathtaking sunset views.

Once you have visited Peggy’s Cove, our guide will take you back to Halifax. Here, you will have the chance to visit the iconic Citadel Hill. As you learn about the impressive military history of the area, you can also observe the Highlander re-enactment interpreters that are dressed in traditional uniforms from the 1800s.

Once you have paid a visit to the Citadel Hill, we will be taking you on a guided driving tour of downtown Halifax. Here, you get to see some of the city’s most famous buildings and landmarks – including the Titanic Cemetery, City Gardens, Point Pleasant Park, Pier 21, and the Halifax Farmers’ Market.

At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel.
