Ice fishing is a conventional way of catching and enjoying your lunch. What makes ice fishing even more memorable is doing it surrounded by beautiful scenery and a mesmerizing frozen lake. The activity starts during the winter season when the lake becomes frozen and is an important pastime for locals. Fishing is referred to as “Finnish meditation” in the area.

Tour Itinerary Overview

If you get lucky, you might even get a hold of some of the most famous catches – including rainbow trout, white fish, and perch. Later on, you can enjoy a scenic and hearty lunch by cooking your catch over an open fire. During the summertime, when the lake is not frozen, you can indulge in the truly fun-filled and exciting activity of fishing in the area.

Information

Lucky Ranch is located near Pyhä-Luosto National Park on Lake Pyhäjärvi, only a 10-minute drive from the year-round activity resort and ski resort in Pyhätunturi. You can reach us by car, or when booking a tour with us, you can book a pick-up (return transfer) either from Pyhätunturi or Luosto.

The nearest airport is in Rovaniemi, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours' drive to Pyhätunturi. The nearest railway station is in Kemijärvi where there is a bus connection to Pyhätunturi. Please always check the public timetable in advance. We are also glad to help you with planning your trip to us!

Cancellation policy

We will charge a cancelation fee of 100% if the booking is canceled 7 days or less before the event.
We will charge a cancelation fee of 50% if the booking is canceled 14 days or less before the event.
