Reykjavik Walking Tour

One of our passionate local guides will meet you at the Hallgrímskirkja Church (At the statue of Leifur Eiríksson) on Hallgrímstorg 1, 101 Reykjavík.

Of course, we will stop at Hallgrímskirkja Church - a dramatic piece of modern architecture that is modeled on the iconic Reynisfjara basalt columns. We’ll also stop at Leif Erikson’s statue to hear stories about the first European to ever set foot on American soil.

Later on, we’ll wander through the charming streets of Þingholt heading to the city center. We’ll arrive at Tjörnin Pond and feed the ducks, geese, and swans, which is a popular Reykjavik tradition.

We’ll continue over to the City Hall for a quick look at the super-sized topographical map of Iceland. Your expert guide will point out the points of interest and tell you some fascinating facts about Iceland’s unique geology. From there we’ll wind our way through the heart of the city, passing Skólavörðustígur and some of Reykjavík’s best-hidden street art.

By then we’ll be nearing Old Reykjavik Harbor – a rustic port that was once the epicenter of Icelandic life. We’ll find the beautiful Harpa Concert Hall on its northern shore. • This tour does not have an age limit, however, children under the age of 6 may find it too far for them, thus we recommend bringing a pram.
