The design of the Sky Lagoon is inspired by Icelandic nature, culture, and history. There are turf houses dotted around with moss-covered roofs and dark cliffs resembling those you will undoubtedly see on your travels around the country.

Their seven-step ritual is based on the traditions of Icelandic bathing culture and is rooted in wellness, wholeness and wonder including relaxation in the lagoon, cool down in the glacier fresh pool, visit the sauna, refresh in cold fog-mist space, scrub your body, visit steam room, and finally rinse off the scrub in the shower.

How To Get To Sky Lagoon

Sky Lagoon is easily accessible from central Reykjavík, Sky Lagoon’s location is as convenient as it is breathtaking. It’s easy to include an experience at Sky Lagoon in any itinerary. Visit us where the sea meets the sky, on the edge of Iceland’s largest city.

Sky Lagoon is located at Kársnes Harbour, Kópavogur, just a few minutes' drive from Reykjavík's city center.

Sky Lagoon Pure Pass with a transfer from Reykjavik

Get the ticket with a transfer from Reykjavik by selecting the nearest pick-up point. The ticket includes Pure Lite Pass and transfers from Reykjavik to Sky Lagoon, please select when booking.

Driving from central Reykjavík

From Hlemmur square take Kringlumýrabraut (route 40). Continue on to Kársnesbraut and head to Vesturvör.

Walking/biking from central Reykjavík

From Hlemmur square take Rauðarárstígur for 5.9km. Then take Suðurhlíð and head to Vesturvör. Total of 6km /1h15min.

Bus from central Reykjavík

From Hlemmur square, take bus 4 to Hamraborg (15min). From there take nr. 35 to Kópavogsbraut (4min). Walk for a few minutes and follow the Wayfinder (signs). You will be at Sky Lagoon before you know it. Visit straeto.is for more information.

Alcohol is prohibited on all of our tours before and during activities. If we find the participant to be intoxicated, we will prohibit them from taking part in the activity.

After the activities of the day are finished then you are more than welcome to have a drink and relax.

Yes, we do have a tour into Langjökull Ice Cave that has no minimum age and it is a fantastic option for the whole family. As a Whale Watching with our partner company Special Tours, enjoyable tour for a family traveling with young children, these guys have an enormous success rate in seeing whales (upwards of 98% in the summertime).

If you want to explore parts of Icelandic Highlands than we have our magnificent Landmannalaugar Safari tour that also offers you to bathe in natural hot springs. Almost all of our jeep tours are suitable for children over the age of 6 years old. Then we also have a relaxing experience that we highly recommend, our Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon tour.
