Zipline in Hveragerði

A 1-kilometer zipline over the Svartagljúfur canyon is a brand-new experience in Hveragerði, Iceland. The ride starts atop the Kambar plateau with a view over the Hveragerði and goes down to the Reykjadalur hot spring valley. Two 1-kilometer-long parallel lines give a chance to fly simultaneously! 

The flight with a zip line is available in two modes - the Conventional ride (where you fly sitting down) and the Superman ride (where you fly laying down facing upfront, like a falcon). The Conventional version is less extreme, while Superman is more suitable for thrill-seekers, as the speed reaches up to 120 km/h!

This adventure begins at the reception area near the Reykjadalur trailhead. The staff will guide you through all the safety precautions and fit you with suitable equipment for your ziplining adventure. All of the visitors are provided with safety helmets and harnesses. Those who embark on the Superman ride also receive goggles.  

You will be driven to the beginning of the Svartagljúfur canyon and take a 10-15 minutes walk to the Kambar tower. During this short walk, you can enjoy the spectacular views of the Canyon with waterfalls and basalt columns. Arriving at the tower, you will meet the Mega Zipline pilots, who will brief you shortly on how to use a zipline. After all the procedures are over, it is time for your flight!

Cameras will be positioned along the zipline, snapping pictures of you during this memorable experience. After the flight is over, you will come back to the reception area to leave your gear and can review the pictures or even buy a print!
